The World Employment Confederation Europe was invited to speak at the closing of the Eurodetachement conference on the posting of workers. In a panel debate with EU level social partners, Michael Freytag, EU Public Affairs Manager at WEC-Europe, highlighted the main elements of the legal framework applicable to the posting of temporary agency workers and highlighted the need for improved access to information for companies and workers, as well as the need for enhanced administrative cooperation between EU Member States in the context of the Posting of Workers.
Michael Freytag also briefly referred to the World Employment Confederation-Europe/UNI-Europa observatory on cross-border activities and the fact-sheets on posting of workers prepared in this context.
The World Employment Confederation-Europe has been a project partner to several of the Eurodetachement research projects, which are conducted by the University of Strasbourg and Astreees.
