The European Pillar of Social Rights has been officially proclaimed at a European Social Summit in Gothenburg, Sweden on 17 November 2017.
The World Employment Confederation-Europe welcomes the European Pillar of Social Rights. With its focus on equal opportunities and labour market access, fair working conditions and social protection and inclusion, it lays founding principles fit for 21st century labour markets.
As a driver of social innovation, the employment industry also urges focus be given to changes in the workplace being brought about by diverse forms of work, digitalisation and the need to develop portable rights for workers, as elaborated in our Manifesto.
