It’s more than a gig! Webconference on the EU proposal for a Directive on platform work

Can correct classification of platform companies and people working via digital labour platforms be an instrument to improve working conditions and social protection? As a core element of its recent proposal for a Directive on improving working conditions in platform work , the European Commission proposes a presumption of an employment relationship based on a set of criteria to be assessed at the national level. On 17 February 2022, the World Employment Conference-Europe (WEC-Europe), in partnership with French National Federation, Prism’emploi, hosted a webinar to discuss this proposal.
