Brussels, 13 October 2026 – The World Employment Confederation (WEC) today opened registration for the World Employment Conference 2027, taking place in Rome from 13 to 14 April 2027 under the theme Working for What’s Next. The conference is hosted in partnership with Assolavoro, the Italian association of employment agencies.
The conference will bring together governments, international organisations, business leaders and the private employment services industry to address three priorities shaping work today: closing skills gaps, building quality jobs, and navigating AI-driven change.
Over two days, delegates can expect high-level plenaries, interactive workshops and focused policy discussions on skills and activation, quality labour markets, AI and innovation, and labour mobility. The programme and speaker line-up, which will include government ministers, leaders of international organisations and CEOs from across the industry, will be announced in the coming months.
The 2027 edition coincides with WEC’s 60th anniversary. It follows the World Employment Conference 2026 in Toronto, Grow With Talent, hosted with ACSESS, which welcomed more than 400 delegates from 32 countries.
